Jimmy Carwile

“Auctioneering is my passion. Clients can rest assured that they are in good hands when they trust my fifty year’s experience in the auction business.”

Jimmy, a successful auctioneer, revealed that he never attended a school to become an auctioneer, but rather pursued it as a hobby and picked it up along the way. Despite his unconventional path to the profession, Jimmy's talent and passion for auctioneering were undeniable. In fact, he won the Virginia State Auctioneering Championship in 1981, competing against 23 experienced auctioneers.

Prior to starting his own company, Jimmy gained invaluable experience working for various auction companies. He spent 16 years honing his craft with four different companies: Ownby Auction Company in Richmond, Bradner Auction Company in Keysville, R.B. Tucker Auction Company in Halifax/Charlotte County, and J.W. Shelton Auction Company in South Boston.

Jimmy's success as an auctioneer serves as a testament to the fact that pursuing one's passions and interests can lead to great success, even without formal education or training. His story also highlights the importance of gaining practical experience and learning from established professionals in any field.
